2 Rushed to Hospital in Plane Emergency Landing at Kisumu Airport
A light aircraft had to make an emergency landing at Kisumu International Airport on Thursday evening after experiencing technical problems.
In a post by the Kenya Airports Authority on their social media pages, it is said that the plane experienced a landing error.
The plane had two people inside; student pilot and instructor.
However, they are said to be safe as they have been rushed to the hospital for a preliminary medical examination.
“We would like to confirm that the light aircraft made an emergency landing at Kisumu International Airport after experiencing a landing gear malfunction. Both occupants are safe and have been taken to hospital for medical examination,” KAA said.

It is said that the plane landed with a crash and circled the airport for hours.
While he was still circling the airport, the security teams were already deployed and ready to take the necessary measures.
The incident comes a few days after KAA also reported an incident at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport involving a plane that crashed during training.
“KAA conducted an emergency exercise at JKIA to increase the capacity to respond to emergency situations,” read the statement.
