A male teacher in Kirinyaga County attacks his colleague over jealousy in a love triangle.

A male teacher in Kirinyaga County has attacked with a panga and seriously attacked his colleague over jealousy in a love triangle.

The incident occurred at Kirati Girls High School where the two male teachers are said to be inlove with the same female teacher who happens to be on teaching practice at the school.

The culprit whose name has been withheld went berserk hacking Mr. Alphonse Orina severally with a panga and leaving him for dead.

By the time police arrived on the scene the stupefied culprit was still loitering around the school compound and was quickly apprehended.

The Mwea East police commandant Daniel Kitavi confirmed that the suspect is being held at Wanguru Police station and will be charged with attempted murder. The shocked teacher believed he had killed his colleague .

The victim was rushed to a private medical facility in Mwea where he’s still under critical condition.

Speaking on the incident Wamumu Ward representative, John Baptista Kanga said teachers ought to provide leadership examples worth emulating and not butchering one another in the presence of their consorts.
