A middle-aged man, Samuel Kanyeki, from Naivasha, mourning the death of his wife.

A bus carrying mourners collided head-on with a truck loaded with sand, killing 23 and nine people. The injured were rushed to Naivasha sub-county hospital.

Kanyeki revealed that his wife was among nine people; six women and two men died in a tragic accident at the Oil Street area near the Mai Mahiu highway – Nairobi. The accident happened at dawn on Saturday, May 23, 2022, in the morning.

Asubuhi akienda nikamwambia waende safari njema. Kutoka hapo hio mchana yote hatukuongea naye. Hata asubuhi nikipata ripoti, hatukuwa tumenongea na yeye,” he said.
