The wife of Tanzanian superintendent Ali Kiba has filed for divorce in the Mombasa Kadhi court after three years of marriage.
Amina Khalef wants to end her marriage to Ally Salehe Kiba, due to stress and abandonment.
The couple got married under Islamic law on April 19, 2018 at a lavish wedding held in Mombasa and later lived as a couple in Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.
Amina filed the application on January 8, 2021. The couple had a baby boy on February 19, 2019.
In a court affidavit, Amina says Kiba has been unwavering in providing care and care for her and their child.
She adds that the maintenance that Kiba provided was not enough and was coming between them and going backwards.
Amina is requesting monthly maintenance of 200,000 shillings for the care of their two children. She also wants him to pay for his children’s medical insurance.
She also filed for divorce from the Kadhi court.
She said Kiba did not provide any care during the pregnancy with their first child and remained unconcerned with her and her baby.
