Babu Owino dismisses claims he killed Embakasi RO

Babu Owino has pummeled UDA’s Francis Mureithi as a bad sport for connecting him to the homicide of IEBC Embakasi East Returning Officer (RO) Daniel Musyoka.

Talking during a public interview on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, Mureithi proposed that Babu had something to do with the passing of Musyoka.

He claimed that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) RO was killed for declining to take part in electing negligence.

Babu Owino asks why he would kill Musyoka

Embakasi East MP furiously pummeled Mureithi for connecting him to the homicide of IEBC official, addressing why he would kill the RO in the wake of winning the political race.

“Ningekua na expectation ya kuua huyu mtu mbona sikumuua previously? Mbona niue huyu mtu saa zile nimeshaona nimeshinda political decision? Kwani mimi ni wazimu? Ata mwenda wazimu hawezi fanya kitu kama hio ju atakua na furaha sana truth be told anaweza kufa ju ya furaha. Hii maneno ya kusema watu wameua mtu waachane na hio upuzi.

(“Assuming I had the goal of killing this individual for what reason didn’t I do it prior to winning the political race? Why kill him after I won? Am I distraught? The issue of saying that I killed somebody is unadulterated nonsense.),” Babu Owino said while tending to the press.

Babu further expressed that there were a few competitors – from the President, Governor, Senator, Women Rep, MP and MCA – whose names were on the voting form and who the electorate decided in favor of in Embakasi East.

He asked why out of the relative multitude of competitors just he is being singled out as the suspect in the homicide of Embakasi East Returning Officer.

Owino hammers Mureithi

The Embakasi East MP brutally pummeled Mureithi for connecting him to the homicide of the IEBC Returning Officer, taking note of that the UDA up-and-comer is only a bad sport after he crushed him with a major edge in the August 9 General Election.

Babu further uncovered that Mureithi was to pay him Ksh10 million after he lost the appeal testing his success in the 2017 General Election. He said that he didn’t request that his opponent compensation since he felt sorry for him.

“Alinipeleka kotini. A half year alinipeleka High Court, a half year court of Appeal, a half year Supreme Court. Bado tukutane na yeye hio kotini. Nilikua granted cost of 10 million Kenyan shillings, sijawai muomba nilimsamehea. Hio 10 million alifaa anilipe, ningeenda kotini ata hange challenge. But since nilijua niko na shameful adversary nilisema huyo ni kukanyaga tu ni kama kukula ndumaa. Beating Mureithi was pretty much as simple as grabbing a candy from a child,” he said.
