BBI Standoff.

Bad news to ODM movement party leaders as fresh details emerge of the powerful role Ministry of interior permanent secretary Karanja Kibicho has been given in the BBI process.

In a report via the Standard , it has been established that President Uhuru Kenyatta has ordered the Building Bridges Initiative secretariat to close down their operations and shift them to his own office at Harambee house.

Sources have established that the team and which was led by Dennis Waweru and Jeremiah Kioni among others will henceforth be operating under the office of the Ministry of interior PS Karanja Kibicho whose office is based at the Harambee house.

It has also been affirmed that the office of PS Kibicho will take over the process of Constitution implementation and ensure the funds to the BBI drive are under his operations.

However, despite the move by the head of state, the ODM leaders have been at crosswinds with PS Kibicho blaming him for taking overcharge the BBI process which they termed as a sense of betrayal for Raila and his team.

The team led by Siaya Senator James Orengo and Junet Mohammed had warned that Kibicho should keep aside the BBI politics saying:

“If he must continue meddling in the work of the secretariat if he must continue dictating how we do the work if he is that indispensable , we will be left with no choice but to abandon BBI. Mr. Kicho is causing political constipation and we are not afraid of telling him that.”
