Kenya’s first attorney general Charles Njonjo died of pneumonia on Sunday morning, his family confirmed.
Former AG Carey Ngini’s son-in-law, who is the husband of Njonjo’s second daughter Mary Wambui Njonjo, in an exclusive interview with KTN News correspondent Emmanuel Too, said the disease caused the disease to collapse in Njonjo’s lungs.
According to Ngini, the 101-year-old has been ill for almost a year, starting in 2020.
“In the past year and this year he had struggled with one disease or another, very well despite his age,” said Ngini, who was interviewed by KTN News at the Kariokor Hindu crematorium, where Njonjo was set on fire at 10:30 am. Sunday.
