Chiloba moves to close capital fm, NRG radio frequencies.
The Director General of the Communications Authority of Kenya, Ezra Chiloba, has launched the cancellation of license offers for 60 broadcasting license applicants.
In a statement, the CA boss said the decision was taken following broadcast agencies’ failure to comply with the license offer within the timeframe set by the Authority in accordance with Kenya’s information and communication law.

The cancellation of the license offer is accompanied by a notice to cancel the FM broadcasting frequency provided to the applicants.
Some of the most popular radio stations include Capital FM, NRG Radio, Mbaitu FM, and One FM.
“Please note that the Authority has taken regulatory action against the broadcasting stations listed below by applicants for licenses to provide broadcasting services for failure to comply with legal requirements,” said Chiloba.
