China records first human infection with poultry disease.
A 41-year old Chinese man has been confirmed as the first human case of infection with the rare Bird Flu strain.
Officials did not give details on how the man got infected but H10N23 is thought not to easily spread from humans to humans.
“No human case of H10N23 has been reported in the world. This case is an occasional poultry to human cross-species transmission. and the risk of large scale transmission is low.” said NHC
The Jiangsu was diagnosed last week and now has fully discovered.
Human infections with bird flu have been rare since the large outbreak of H7N9 strained killed around 300people in 2016 and 2017.
