Blogger Dennis Itumbi was forced on Sunday to delete a public photo he said was taken at a meeting of Vice President Dr William Ruto at the Jacaranda Grounds in the Embakasi East constituency, County from Nairobi.
Ruto led a series of campaigns in parts of the Embakasi area of Nairobi, where he had planned a rally at the Jacaranda Grounds.
But what made Kenyans talk is the image of a large crowd shared by DP blogger Denis Itumbi.
He shared the picture with the quote, “When people lose their minds, they calm down violently! Fear will not buy us! Above all, DP William Samoei Ruto was in Embakasi early in the afternoon (Sunday 01/16/22) and the pictures of support speak louder than stones and violence!
However, the keen Kenyans soon realized that what he shared with Itumbi was not what was happening on the field.
Itumbi quickly removed the image after discovering that it had been taken during a religious war in Nigeria.
A Google search of the image shows it was shot in Nigeria at a public meeting by the late Reinhard Bonke, the founder of Christ for all Nations (CfaN) Church.
In 2000, more than 6 million Christians attended the 5-Day Bonke Convention in Lagos, Nigeria, making him one of the most prominent religious leaders in Africa.
