CS Machogu : Meru University graduation to proceed as planned.
Minister Ezekiel Machogu has assured theMeru University students that the graduation scheduled for March 11 will continue as planned.
This is despite the vice chancellor being fired from Meru University following what the board described as poor performance.
In his statement, Machogu said the dismissal of VC Romanus Odhiambo a few days before graduation was malicious.

“The 10th university graduation which was scheduled for March 11 will continue as planned,” Machogu said.
Machogu himself, participating in attending graduation ceremonies in the institution.
The council said it did not believe that Odhiambo deserved a second term.
“The University Council, in its meeting on February 27, 2023, evaluated your performance and determined that you were below expectations. Therefore, the board has refused to renew your contract as requested in your letter of December 20, 2022,” President Bosire Mwebi said in a letter dated February 27, 2023.
