Day 3,Okoth Obado trial; Sharon Otieno murder.

Testimony continued Wednesday in the murder trial of Migori County Chief Okoth Obado and two others accused of killing Sharon Otieno.

Government analyst Kimani Mungai testifies the results of Otieno’s blood test with his unborn child as well as tests performed on items found from the scene.

Mr Mungai told the court that there was a 99.9% chance of Mr Obado being the biological father of the donor DNA from Ms Otieno’s fetus.

Mr Mungai said the semen in a condom found at the scene of the murder could not be linked to any of the accused in court – Mr Obado, Michael Oyamo and Casper Obiero.

“The synthetic DNA was of unknown male origin,” he said.

He further stated that DNA profiles cannot be linked to female swabs taken from the victim.

Mr Mungai is the third witness in the case.
