Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula has called on Wiper chief Kalonzo Musyoka to run for office in search of a suitable candidate for Raila Odinga.
Wentang’ula described the exercise as a disgrace to a Kalonzo man.
A senior Ford Kenya official said the former vice president would be foolish if he took part in the inspection.
Wetangula revealed that the Wiper party leader served as vice president for five years and served as Raila’s deputy twice, claiming that he graduated even without being investigated.
“Do not allow yourself to be embarrassed, ridiculed and hated by being asked about the ‘fit’ for the same role,” Wetang’ula tweeted on Thursday.
His remarks come a day after Raila announced a seven-member panel advising him on who he would nominate as his running mate.
In a statement issued Wednesday, Secretary-General of the Resolution Board Junet Mohamed said members of the panel had agreed to hold office and fulfill their new terms.
