Ex-Man United Captain quits football.
Former Man United star player and captain Antonio Valencia has officially announced his retirement from football. This follows after one year spell with Mexican side Queretaro.
Confirming his decision on his Instagram page , he said , ” I did not think this moment would come soon but my body has asked me to take this decision. I am announcing my retirement from football. I want to thank everyone who has been part of my career and my life.”
Antonia had a successful spell with the Red Devils in 2009 and 2019 , with him winning two premier league titles. One FA cup, three community shields, One Europe league title as well as being named in the premier league of the season 2009/2010 campaign while at Theatre Dreams.
Meanwhile , the 35 year old have had spells with several teams during his football teams with him playing his trade for EI Nacional, Villareal, Wigan Athletic as well as L.D.U Quito before his latest move to Queretaro where he has finally decided to call it a day.
