Ex-mungiki leader Maina Njenga placed on DCI wanted list

Former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga is wanted for questioning by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI).
According to the DCI, detectives based in Nakuru want to question Njenga about two guns and more than 90 rolls of cannabis, found in a house associated with him.

“During the raid in Ngomongo village in Dundori district, the soldiers who arrested 8 suspects aged between 37 and 54 years also found three 9mm cartridges hidden in one of the rooms, one of the weapons found is a local pistol capable of firing while the other with bullets. Tokarev and its serial number were deleted,” the DCI said in a statement, asking the public who know its whereabouts to voluntarily provide information.

The new developments follow Njenga’s claims that his homes in Laikipia and Nairobi were raided by security operatives on May 12 for unknown reasons.
