Former Harlequins rugby player Alex Olaba will serve six years in prison after a court found him guilty of conspiring to kill a witness in a sexual assault case.
On Wednesday, Magistrate Geoffrey Onsarigo said he considered Olaba’s reduction and the probation report presented to the court.
In making that decision, Mr. Onsarigo noted that the prosecution has proved its case against the accused.
“After going through the evidence in this case, I find the defendant guilty of the crime,” the judge said.
Earlier this month, the court found the former rugby player guilty of planning to kill a witness in 2021.
In the case of gang rape, Olaba is accused together with Frank Wanyama
