Head of election observer team Festus Mogae resigns last minute

The Chairperson of the Commonwealth Election perception bunch Festus Mogae has ventured down five days to the August 9, General Election.

In an explanation delivered on Wednesday, August 3, the Commonwealth Secretariat’s correspondence group declared that the previous Botswanan President had removed from the gathering. The group refered to undeniable conditions that were not unveiled.

He will be supplanted by previous Jamaican Prime Minister Bruce Golding, who will lead the 20-part group.

The group showed up in the country at the greeting of the Commonwealth Secretary-General, Patricia Scotland and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

Mogae filled in as Botswana’s leader somewhere in the range of 1998 and 2008 and has since his retirement drove various political race eyewitness groups including the 2015 Lesotho political decision where he worked close by Azimio official up-and-comer Raila Odinga.
