I know one day I will end up in a wheelchair: Jackie Chan
HONG Kong star Jackie Chan has made a dire prediction that he will one day end up in a wheelchair.
The 69-year-old, who does all his stunts, said his body was already aching from the injuries he sustained throughout his playing career.
“I know one day I’m going to end up in a wheelchair or I’m going to need a cane. Because right now, even after taking local anesthetic injections, that part of my thigh still hurts, my shoulder and lower back hurt too.
“Is medicine reaching its limit (of effectiveness)?” he asked during a press tour promoting his latest film, Ride On.
The martial arts veteran added that he has already received two injections and will have to undergo surgery if they are no longer effective.
“Very scared. I’m afraid of needles. But very bad. That’s what we have to endure in this industry; this is the life of a martial arts master,” he said.

It was previously reported that Chan now has to rely on local anesthetic injections to ease the pain so he can continue to perform.
Many netizens expressed concern for Chan’s health and thanked him for his services to the film industry.
It has been reported that Ride On tells the story of an old horse trainer who wishes for his horse to one day become a movie star.
Lao Luo, the character played by Chan, ends up being accused while following his dreams. To prove his innocence, he relies on his daughter and her lawyer boyfriend.
Having acted in more than 150 films in his career, Chan is known for his work ethic and for doing his own thing.
