JSC approved removal of Judge Said Chitembwe over misconduct

The Judicial Services Commission (JSC) has approved the dismissal of Judge Said Chitembwe.

Through Chief Justice Martha Koome, the Commission has written to President Uhuru Kenyatta for further action.

“JSC has reviewed the panel’s report on the petition copied by the commission of its own free will and is satisfied that the request indicates the reasons for Chitembewe’s removal,” the statement said.

One of the plaintiffs in the case seeking Judge Said Chitembwe’s dismissal on charges of corruption and abuse of power now alleges that the judge tried to bribe him to drop the case.
