Kakamega deputy Governor Phillip Kutima dumps ODM for UDA.

Kakamega Deputy Governor Phillip Kutima parted with the Union One Kenya Declaration on the Kenya First Camp ahead of the August elections.

Kutima, who was Wycliffe Oparanya’s deputy, joined the political wing led by Vice President William Ruto on Wednesday, April 27.

Kutima has also resigned from the Earl governorship race and will now serve as Kakamega Senator and gubernatorial candidate Cleophas Malala in his candidacy.

“Join us in welcoming the Deputy Governor of Kakamega Philip Kutima to the Resolution Alliance of Kenya First. Your support for Senator Cleophas Malala to run for governor is a great impetus. Thank you, ”Ruto wrote.

Kutima was previously in the running to replace Governor Wycliffe Oparanya in the county seat under the DAP-K party, which is one of the parties forming the Union One Kenya Coalition.
