Kalonzo states what he will do next if not selected as Raila’s running mate
Wiper chief Kalonzo Musyoka has said he will announce his next move if he is not nominated as a co-candidate for the United One One Resolution in Kenya.
Speaking to TV47 on Wednesday, April 27, Kalonzo declined to say whether he would abide by the Resolution if the presidential candidate Raila Odinga nominates his running mate.
“That is a very important thing to consider. We will make a decision when the time comes. It is as if I will not be a co-candidate,” Kalonzo joked with his response.
To escalate the dispute over the future of the Declaration, Kalonzo admitted that some of his allies were waiting for him to give them a way out.

He recalled calming some of the troubled souls in his party by urging them to refrain from pushing the coalition to decide him as a running mate. The former vice president said the turmoil would make him look desperate.
Kalonzo, in a covert attack, criticized the coalition for electing a committee that would come up with criteria to nominate Rala’s running mate.
“I even warned some people not to talk. It is as if they are getting a lot of pain inside and are probably wondering why I am being interviewed for that job.
“I was a co-candidate at CORD and NASA,” Kalonzo explained. However he stressed that his allies had the right and free will to have their own ideas and opinions.
The Wiper leader further claimed that even the late President Mwai Kibaki would approve him for the 2013 presidency and he had a lot of faith in him.
