Kanye West wants to change His name to ‘Ye’.

Kanye West do not want to anymore be called Kanye West.

The rapper submitted legal documents to change his name from Kanye Omari West to just “Ye”, a nickname he used for years. He asks the Los Angeles court to formalize it by signing the application.

Kanye wants to erase “West” from his name altogether, which is surprising given his love for his family. Meanwhile, his ex-wife Kim Karadashian still uses “West” for her last name.

He mentioned the name change in September 2018. “Officially known as Kanye West,” he tweeted. “I am YE.”

Kanye is not the first rapper to change his name. Earlier this year, Diddy officially changed his middle name to “Love”.

During his re-submission by Drake, Ye is expected to host a third night of listening to his DONDA album at Soldier Field in Chicago Thursday night. He returned his childhood home in the middle of the field for the occasion.
