The Kenya Railways has confirmed the transport of 311 cows and 89 calves on Friday morning, January 14.

Each Kenya Railway vehicle is capable of carrying 30 cows depending on the size and weight of the herd.
The organization re-introduced livestock transport services in May 2021 in an effort to help farmers move their livestock easily

The week is coming when the government will reopen the Kenya Meat Commission (KMC) in Athi River after the facility is rehabilitated.
