Kenya records 932 positive Covid-19cases , positivity rate 9.9pc.
Confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country jumped to 233,801 after more than 932 people were tested for the virus.
New infections came from a 9,424 sample tested in the last 24 hours.
The current positive rate is 9.9%, down from 12.9% the previous day.
Of those cases, 909 are Kenyans, while 23 are foreigners. The youngest child is 11 months old, while the oldest is 100 years old.
The overall survey since Covid-19 was first reported in the country now stands at 2,352,240.
New infections are distributed among the counties as follows; Nairobi 282, Kiambu 91, Kitui 66, Nakuru 65, Kajiado 62, Murang’a 46, Marsabit 32, Machakos 29, Garissa 25, Nyandarua 21, Tharaka Nithi 20, Isiolo 17, Mandera 14, Turkana 13, Uasin Gishu 11, Mombasa 11, Laikipia 11, Meru 10, Busia 10, Kakamega 9, Kisii 9, Tana River 8, Lamu 8, Homa Bay 6, Kericho 6, Bungoma 5, Taita Taveta 5, Nyeri 5, Kilifi 5, Makueni 5, Migori 4, Wajir 4, Elgeyo Marakwet 3, Embu 3, Kisumu 3, Nandi 2, Narok 2, Siaya 1, Trans Nzoia .West Pokot and Bomet had one person each 1.
The country has also reported 31 deaths from the virus; one occurred in the past 24 hours, when 30 were reported late after completing a facility inspection in July and August 2021.

This now brings the total number of deaths from Covid-19 in Kenya to 4,666.

As announced by Health Cabinet Secretary while in Tranzoia 1,457 patients had recovered from the disease. 1,309 of them were from the home care program while 148 were from various health facilities across the country.
The total rehabilitation currently stands is 218,228, of which 176,349 are from the home care and isolation program, while 41,879 are from various health facilities.
The SC further confirmed that 1,953 patients have been admitted to various health facilities across the country, while 8,022 are being treated at home.
161 patients are in the intensive care unit (ICU), with 108 on respiratory support and 49 on supplemental oxygen. Four patients are monitored.
Another 699 patients receive extra oxygen on the side, as well as 627 in general services and 72 in high-level dependence units (HDU).
As of Thursday, a total of 2,693,039 Covid-19 vaccines had been used across the country. Of these, the total number of the first measurement is 1,894,240, while the second measurement is 798,799.
The absorption of the second dose among those who received their first dose was 42.2 percent, mostly men 55 percent, while the number of fully immunized adults was 2.93 percent.
