Kenya Power has announced the recovery of power in some parts of the country following a power outage across the country on Tuesday morning.
In a statement, the company said areas of Nairobi, Western Kenya, Mount Kenya, North Rift, South Nyanza and Central Rift are planned.
The company said its team is still working to ensure electricity is restored in the remaining regions.
KPLC announced a power outage across the country following the collapse of a pole on the Kiambere-Embakasi power distribution line at 10:45 this morning.
“We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience caused,” he said.
KPLC has not set a deadline for power to be restored in all parts of the country.
A spokesman for the company confirmed that the problem was national.
The power outage also came on Monday with Kenya’s electricity supply failing to provide full reasons for the power outage.
Kenya Power is the only electricity supplier in the country and most of its electricity comes from the Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen).
