Wiper chief Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka is one of seven candidates nominated by the selection panel for Raila Odinga’s running mate.
Kalonzo was listed after his party nominated him. He was listed along with Martha Karua of Narc Kenya and Gideon Moi of KANU.
Interestingly, the former Emgwen MP, Stephen Kipkiyeny Tarus, registered on the list after being nominated by the National Liberal Party (LNP).
The others are Peter Kenneth and Sabina Chege, nominated by the Jubilee Party, and the current Governor of Mombasa, Hassan Ali Joho, nominated by the ODM.
The committee, led by veteran politician Noah Wekesa, found that it had removed 13 other candidates after failing to meet nomination criteria.
