Madagascar’s public prosecutor’s office said it had suspended the assassination attempt against President Andry Rajoelina and arrested several “foreign and Malagasy” suspects.

Two French nationals are among several people arrested Tuesday in the Indian Ocean island country “as part of an investigation into state security violations,” diplomatic sources said.
