Martha Karua to deputize Raila Odinga in the August presidential election

Azimio la Umoja Kenya presidential flagbearer Raila Odinga unveils Martha Karua as his running mate ahead of the August poll.

Kenya now has about 14 months to go to the polls in accordance with the 2010 constitution which states that the country must still hold elections every 5 years. It is time for the next general election when Kenyans will elect their new leaders the role of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Now, as we speak, several leaders have expressed interest in this seat. Among the politicians expected to run in the race is Hon Raila Odinga who is expected to face Kenya’s Vice President William Ruto. From now on as a presidential candidate he must have a running mate who will take his place if he emerges victorious.
