Migingo Girls principal was killed by her son
Subsequent to killing his mom, the man consumed the body and locked himself inside the family’s home.
Colleague Chief Shadrack Awuor said the body was found Sunday night.
“I got a trouble call from one of the children who works in Kisumu about the homicide. He had been attempting to arrive at the mother since Saturday however the calls were going unanswered,” Mr Awuor said.
The killing could have occurred on Saturday night, he said.
The man, in his 20s, killed his mom and put her body in the washroom prior to setting it ablaze.
Nyando OCPD Grace Mulwa said police found the body consumed to the point of being indistinguishable.
Kitchen blade
“We found a kitchen blade close by the body, however it didn’t have bloodstains, yet we will examination further and perhaps the posthumous will uncover the reason for death,” Ms Mulwa said.
She went on: “The child was tracked down in the house. We are holding him as the main suspect. We are yet to grill him.”
The man was confined at the Nyando Police Station.
“From the reports of the other child living in Kisumu, the suspect is taking drugs experiencing a psychological problem,” she said.
The body was taken to the Nyando County Referral Hospital morgue.
