Migori candidate turns blind minutes before starting the exams.
The exams invigilators and officers at Wayaga Mixed Secondary school were left mouth agape after one of the students suddenly turned blind few minutes before the commencement of the Monday papers.
It is said that the student had previously told her fellow students that she was not seeing things clearly until yesterday when things turned ugly.
The education director Mr. Fredrick Kiiru who spoke to the Royal media while confirming the incident stated that the student’s condition deteriorated when the exams were about to begin and so she was taken to Ndhiwa Sub-county Hospital for medication.
Mr. Kiiru added that when medical examination was done on the student , the results showed that she had become totally blind.
The Kenya National Examination Council has now formed a framework of helping the student with her remaining exams as stipulated in the exam rules as she continue getting medical support.
