New directives on school re-opening dates.
The ministry of Education under cabinet secretary Prof George Magoha has issued a directive regarding the school opening dates. Education PS Julius Jwan has stated that they will analyze the Covid-19 pandemic at the end of April 2021 to ascertain whether students will resume classes or not.
He also added that the decision will be based on the information provided by the Ministry of Health officials and other education stakeholders.
KNUT secretary general Wilson Sossion yesterday urged government to reopen schools as scheduled to prevent further disruption of learning as it was witnessed last year.
