PAA party to quit Azimio

The African Alliance (PAA) wrote a letter to the Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu requesting the resignation of the Unity One Kenya Resolution Party because he felt isolated.

The leader of the PAA party, who is also the governor of Kilifi, Amason Kingi, says the coalition agreement is not clear and that they were not involved in approving the deal.

In a statement to the RPP, the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) claimed that it had not ratified the Declaration and did not understand its terms.

The NEC at a meeting held on April 25, 2022 resolved that the ratification of the agreement signed on April 5, 2022 be rejected. Despite the signing of the agreement 20 days ago, no copies were released. The AAP statement read.

The party would move to another political party after refusing to become a member of the Declaration.

“The PAA has never and does not refuse to be a member of the Union One Kenya Union,” the statement read in part.
