President Uhuru signs supplementary appropriation bill for the release of 34.44B into oil marketers

Recovery is approaching for drivers across the country after President Uhuru Kenyatta signed the Extraordinary Conditions Bill (Additional Budget) on Monday afternoon, April 4th.

This would result in 34.44 billion shillings being paid to oil companies, a move that could lead to a return to normalcy in the oil sector.

Oil traders have accused the government of withholding subsidy arrears for four months, making it difficult for them to export fresh oil from oil-producing countries.

In the past week, drivers across the country have been forced to endure long queues and long hours driving for fuel.
