Princess Beatrice welcomes first child and named her daughter in honor of Queen Elizabeth.

Princess Beatrice named her daughter Sienna Elizabeth.

The 33-year-old royal and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, welcomed their daughter into the world on September 18, and on Friday Beatrice confirmed the name they had chosen to give for their new arrival.

Beatrice posted the news on Twitter, where she also said her five-year-old stepdaughter Wolfie – who Edoardo has with Dara Huang – is Sienna’s “older brother”.

She wrote: “We are delighted to share that we have named our daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi.

“We’re all the same and Wolfie is Sienna’s older brother.”

And Edoardo also revealed his daughter’s name in his social media post on Friday.

He said: “Our life together has just begun and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things in front of us.

“I feel so much love and gratitude for my wonderful wife, baby Sienna and Wolfie. These are the days I don’t want to forget. This week my friend told me the sweetest saying… that everyone as a child, you grow up with a whole new heart.”

Sienna’s middle name is tribute to her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, and it comes after several other royal children – including the daughter of Prince William Charlotte Elizabeth and the daughter of Prince Harry Lilibet Diana – also praised the king for their nicknames.

Meanwhile, Beatrice announced the arrival of her baby on September 20, when she revealed the baby was born two days earlier at Chelsea Hospital and Westminster in London.

She wrote at the time: “I was very happy to share the news of the safe arrival of our daughter on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11:42 pm at Chelsea Hospital and Westminster in London.

“Thank you to the midwifery team and everyone at the hospital for their excellent care.”

The new royal family addition is currently the 11th consecutive British throne and is the 12th granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth
