Prof Hamo introduces Jemutai as wife at the KANU event.
Comedian Herman Kago, popularly known as stager Prof Hamo, on Thursday introduced fellow comedian Stella Bunei, aka Jemutai, as “my wife,” months after the two were reconciled over a heated argument.
The “comedians” entertained guests at the Kanu Delegation Conference held at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi.
After Professor Hamo finished his play, MC Jessy, who was an emcee, struggled to find the right words to introduce Jemutai, who was on stage.
While MC Jessy was reluctant to introduce Jemutai, Hamo made his job easier by recognizing the actress as his wife.
“We also have another actor in the house. She is from the Rift Valley and is wearing a milk protector before… ”said MC Jessy in her introduction as Hamo stood in front of her.
“Just tell my wife, stop pretending,” Professor Hamo told MC Jessy.
“Come on, baby,” Pro Hamo added, welcoming Jemutai on stage.
But Jemutai ignored the joke and instead carried out his verses which included a call for men to adequately fund their wives.
“As men, I know that sometimes you can decide to go together when you return home and take one on the street. At any moment, ‘Kibet’ joins you and decides to throw the ball when you return the favor. Before you know it, it’s 9 o’clock in the morning, just discover you still have yesterday’s uncooked food in your car.
“If you want to save your wife’s life, just give her the money. Money is like soap. It’s heartbreaking (sic), ”said Jemutai, who had previously accused Hamo of being a pregnant father.
Hamo and Jemutai have two children together.
Hamo is said to have three other children from another relationship.
Earlier this year, Jemutai publicly accused Hamo of abandoning their two children.
“We are fixing things, still there but we are heading there by His grace, ”Hamo wrote on his Facebook page apologizing.
Hamo, who bought the TV from Jemutai after apologizing, had requested a DNA test to confirm the fatherhood of the children. The results showed that there was a 99.99% chance that she gave birth to Jemutai children.
