Edward Mwachinga, recently appointed to the Kenya First Alliance economic task force by Vice President William Ruto, has died.
The lawyer reportedly collapsed at his Nairobi home on Tuesday and died.
According to a family member, Mwachinga was diagnosed with a heart condition a year ago and received treatment locally and abroad.
“We lost him last night at 11pm. He was diagnosed with a heart condition a year ago,” said Emmanuel Washe, Mwachinga’s uncle.
Washe said the body was transferred to Montezuma Cemetery.
Mwachinga was also a member of the National Alliance for the Joint Election Council of the African Alliance Party.
He was also a board member of Vipingo Development Limited, a subsidiary of Centum Limited.
