Robbers raid Kibaki’s home 3 days after the burial
The robbers stormed the home of former President Mwai Kibaki on Tuesday, just three days after he was buried at his Othaya home, Nyeri County.
According to photos reaching the news desk, the thieves destroyed a transformer that was installed in Kibaki’s home.
The attackers demolished transformers and continued to loot parts of electrical equipment.

Sources familiar with the situation say that Kenya Power has already reported the matter to the police.
We had to connect the houses affected by the distribution route to a small Othaya station, which serves the city center and its surroundings. As a result, power was restored, albeit temporarily, the following day (Wednesday, May 4) at 11 a.m., ”confirmed Kenyan Electricity Transmission Engineer in Othaya, Benjamin Onsomo.
A few days before the funeral, Kenya Power repaired street lights and cables around the Kanyange area where the late Kibaki’s house was located.
