For users of Safaricom, it has been a hectic morning as most of Safaricom services are currently down well according to the time of publishing. Many Kenyans thronged Safaricom social media pages for explanation on the cause of this.
The only services that were working were the outgoing calls and the incoming calls. One could also purchase data from M-pesa. However, customers are unable to pay for services via the M-pesa service. The purchased data is unable to surf.
In one of the replies, Safaricom said . ” we currently have an issue with data connection and we’re working on sorting it out, our apologies.”
When the users asked about the time frame for the return of services as lots of losses was incurred, Safaricom said. ” we don’t have a time span but the issue is under resolution kindly bear with us. sorry for the inconveniences caused.”
Safaricom had earlier issued a statement before the weekend and they said some of their services would experience hitches. Seemingly this came to pass.
