Sonko promises Omanyala new limousine for commonwealth win
Previous Nairobi lead representative Mike Sonko has guaranteed the recently delegated Commonwealth Games 100m top champion Ferdinand Omanyala a spic and span limousine and a major slam of money once he flies back into the country.
This after Omanyala floated to agreeable win in a period of 10:02 seconds beating South Africa’s Akani Simbine to second put in 10:07 on Wednesday night in Birmingham. Yupun Abeykoon from Sri Lanka agreed to bronze in 10.14.

“Pongezi sana na serikali ikikubali nitakupangia sherehe kubwa ya kukulaki na limousines 15 zikupokee na nikufanyie sherehe ya 10 days na nikupee limo moja bure iwe yako. Twakupenda sana for doing right by us,” Sonko said on his virtual entertainment pages.
The 26-year-old Omanyala wrestled the Commonwealth Games title from Simbine under two months subsequent to grabbing the Africa crown from him. Talking after his triumph, Omanyala expressed he next testing is securing the Olympics and world titles.
