The Israeli army has killed three Palestinian men in a major raid in the Balata refugee camp in the northern city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health named the three people killed on Monday morning as Muhammad Abu Zaytoun, 32, Fathi Abu Rizk, 30, and Abdullah Abu Hamdan, 24.
At least seven other Palestinians were injured, four with live ammunition, and dozens of others were sprayed with tear gas, according to the ministry.
Hundreds of Israeli soldiers and special forces took part in the raid that began around 01:00 local time (22:00 GMT) and continued until 05:00 (02:00 GMT).
Israeli forces blocked the camp’s entrances with bulldozers and demolished and destroyed several houses, including anti-tank grenades, residents said.
