Public gay couple, Torm Ford’s husband, Richard Buckley has died.

Tom Ford’s husband, Richard Buckley, has passed away.

The 60-year-old fashion designer has confirmed that the 72-year-old fashion editor sadly died peacefully due to natural causes on Sunday (09.19.21), after a “long-term illness”.

The son of the couple Alexander ‘Jack’ John Buckley Ford, eight, was with his parents.

In a statement to Vogue, Ford said: “It is with great sadness that Tom Ford announces the death of his beloved 35-year-old husband, Richard Buckley.

“Richard passed away peacefully at his Los Angeles home last night with Tom and their son Jack by his side. He died of natural causes after a long illness.

The fashion museum secretly married Vogue Hommes International’s editor-in-chief in 2014, after a 27-year relationship.

The couple met at a fashion show in the 80’s, and it was love at first sight.

Ford recalled earlier, “I went to a fashion show and this young man with silver hair was staring at me with blue eyes with pierced water.

“It scared me because I could totally see and know my whole future.

About 10 days later someone asked if [Buckley] was seeing anyone. .

“We had three dates. We were living together four weeks later. He gave me the keys to his house and we have been living together ever since.”
