UDA MP campaign vehicle overturns with passengers inside

Mugirango South MP Silvanus Osoro’s campaign vehicle overturned while his supporters were inside.

The vehicle, which had UDA colors and logos, was recorded overturning at an intersection in Kisii County as it tried to negotiate a speeding route.

Shortly afterwards, citizens rushed to the scene to rescue those on board. They were rushed to a nearby health facility for treatment.

Preliminary reports say some of the supporters involved in the crash were seriously injured when one was trapped under the car.

Police have not yet commented on the incident while investigations into the incident are believed to be ongoing.

However, the video, which was circulated on social media, sparked outrage among Kenyans who called on the police to curb the use of vehicles during the election period.
