United Democratic Alliance (UDA) national treasurer Omingo Magara announced on Monday, February 28, that he had resigned from the party.
Magara made the statement during a meeting with local leaders in Kisii town. The former MP noted that he had resigned due to a lack of democracy in the UDA and chose to return to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) led by Migori Governor Okoth Obadio.
He had previously indicated that he was considering changing his political affiliation in response to what he described as harassment by his colleagues.
On Sunday, he denied reports circulating on social media that he had resigned from a party affiliated with Vice President William Ruto.
