VIDEO: Kenyans scramble for free umbrellas at Nyayo Stadium

On Friday, April 29, Kenyans from all walks of life showed up at Nyayo Stadium, the funeral home of the late Mwai Kibaki.

Before entering the stadium, mourners were inspected as security was beefed up before the historic ceremony was marred by high-ranking officials led by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Those with bottled food or liquids like water or juice cannot be left inside

Due to the cold weather of mourning on Friday, free umbrellas with a picture of Kibaki inscribed on them were given to some of the people who attended the funeral.

In the video two women can be heard claiming that they have lost their phones or someone stole their phone when they were scrambling for the merchandise umbrellas.
