VIDEO ; Wangui Ngirici removes UDA paint on her Office wall, repaint it to White

Kirinyaga Representative Wangui Ngirirci on Monday January 3 secured her office and other campaign systems after withdrawing from the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

In what appeared to be the last step in a strained relationship with Vice President William Ruto, Ngirici removed the UDA logo from her office in Kirinyaga County.

Pictures seen, show that her office, which was painted yellow and green, the main color in the garment, has been repainted.

With the help of her followers, the walls of her office were painted white again.

In addition, she also removed equipment with the UDA logo from her campaign tools, including her microphone truck and personal vehicles.

Ngirici’s decision fuels divisions within the party following his resignation on December 29, 2021.

The county legislator has announced he will run for governor of Kirinyaga as an independent candidate.

“In 2022, I will not support any political party. I will seek to be elected governor, as an individual, and I am confident that I will succeed,” said the woman’s representative.

Ngirici further expressed his concern about the selection process. He claimed that the UDA had been abducted by officials who wanted him to relinquish his ambition to be governor instead of Anne Waiguru.

Ngirici also hinted that she would not run for Ruto again in the presidential race – urging her supporters to freely choose any candidate they deem fit.

In an earlier interview, the DP made it clear that they had no rivalry between Waiguru and Ngirici, saying that the party would issue a ticket to someone who is more likely to win.

Ruto maintained that the party would hold free and fair elections across the country.
